The business idea of founder Christian Gottlob Dierig was to buy yarns, pass them on to hand weavers, pay them for their work and sell the woven fabrics on the market. Dierig had already specialized in cotton fabrics in the early days of the company.In 1930, Dierig was the largest cotton spinner and weaver in Europe. After the Second World War, the Dierig Group moved its headquarters to Augsburg and once again became one of the most important textile companies in Germany. The fleuesse brand was born in the years of the economic miracle. Now consumers could once again afford high-quality bed linen.
